1. Talk to God, as you would a listening friend, and admit that you are a sinful person. (Romans 3:23)
2. Acknowledge that there is no hope of become right with God or getting into heaven besides Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:23)
3. Admit your belief that Jesus died to pay the penalty for your sins and that you believe He is resurrected and alive today. (Romans 5:8)
4. Ask Jesus Christ, like you would a friend, to come live in your heart to rule as the only Lord and Savior. (Romans 10:9-10)
5. Welcome to the family of God. God has forgiven you and is your Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus now lives in your heart. (I John 5:11-13)
What to do next...
1. Find a church to attend each week that teaches from the Holy Bible and makes you feel inspired to become a better Christian.
2. Start reading the Bible, particularly from the New Testament, on a daily basis.
3. Talk to God in prayer, like talking to an invisible friend, on a daily basis. Tell him how much you love Him, confess new sins or slip-ups to Him, and tell Him what you want.
4. Find Christian friends who are living what they say they believe, and who inspire you to grow as a Christian.
